Forward Deployed Engineer

At Bolna, we're building tools that change the way teams leverage Voice AI. We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to sit at the intersection of customers + product + engineering shipping fast, iterating in production, and turning messy real-world workflows into scalable product capabilities.
This is an early, high-impact role where you'll help define how Bolna is deployed, adopted, and expanded across customers - often by building new features, integrations, or full MVPs end-to-end.
Our team is composed of IIT alums having worked at Bain, Atlassian, Zomato and are backed by top investors.
Responsibilities:

1. Own customer outcomes end-to-end: work directly with customers to understand their workflows and turn them into production-ready product + deployments.
2. Build full-stack features & MVPs: ship UI + backend + infra changes to unlock new use-cases quickly (often in days, not weeks).
3. Integrate with third-party systems: design and implement robust API-based integrations (ATS/HR tools, CRMs, internal systems, telephony, webhooks, etc.).
4. Deploy and iterate Voice AI agents: prompt, tune, and iterate on LLMs, voices, and transcribers to perfect real-world experiences.
5. Translate ambiguity into execution: take vague goals, propose solutions, validate with users, and deliver measurable impact.
6. Collaborate with core engineering: upstream reusable learnings into the product while improving reliability, scalability, and performance of a distributed system handling 10,000+ parallel voice interactions.

Qualifications:

1. Comfortable full-stack: React, TypeScript, (or equivalent), plus strong Python proficiency.
2. Hands-on AI/ML application experience: building workflows around LLMs/agents, evaluation loops, and production iteration.
3. API + integration expertise: designing, building, and maintaining integrations with external systems (auth, webhooks, rate limits, retries, observability).
4. Strong communication: can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. High ownership / founder mindset: you prefer building over waiting, and shipping over theorizing.
6. Project prioritization under pressure: can manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines without dropping the ball.
