Senior Database Architect
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to oversee the design, configuration and performance of our cloud-based database infrastructure.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned database expert to join our team and lead the development of scalable and efficient database solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database architecture, administration and management.

Responsibilities
  • Database Design: Develop and implement robust database architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance to ensure fast query execution and minimal latency.
  • Error Handling: Implement effective error handling mechanisms to prevent data corruption and ensure system reliability.
  • Data Security: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of sensitive data.
  • Capacity Planning: Plan and implement capacity upgrades to ensure smooth database operation.
  • Database Backups: Implement regular backups to prevent data loss in case of hardware failure or other disasters.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Expert-level knowledge of database systems, including Postgres RDS.
  • Experience with database design, development and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as shell script or Python.
  • Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based services such as AWS.
