Senior Java Developer Leader

Our company operates a complex backend system, the Stored Value Platform (SVP), which empowers various internal and external web services. It enables prepaid debit card issuance and transactions on the Visa network across the U.S.

The SVP integrates with third-party providers like card printers, processing centers, and banks to facilitate seamless transactions.

We offer a prepaid card solution, Awards2Go, used by companies to reward employees, business partners, and customers.

This prepaid card can be purchased nationwide without identification or a bank account requirement.

• Design scalable software solutions
• Drive technical excellence and tech debt reduction.
• Refactor legacy codebases, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and performance.
• Manage the full software development life-cycle, from understanding business needs through coding to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in product and sprint backlog meetings.
• Demonstrate technology-agnostic positive attitude with the ability to learn and desire to implement solutions using various technologies.
• Develop high-performing, mission-critical, scalable, and resilient web-based applications and services.
• Orient the company's computing architecture for maximum efficiency.
• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
• Maintain design and troubleshooting documentation

• 5+ years of production experience in JavaExtensive experience with Java and the Spring Framework for building enterprise-grade applications.
• Understanding of modern design patterns and proven experience applying them.
• Experience in designing and maintaining complex systems.
• Microservices expertise
• CI/CD tools proficiency (Jenkins, ArgoCD, Maven)Docker hands-on experience with significant Kubernetes knowledge (ideally Rancher Kubernetes).
• MongoDB and Oracle database proficiency, including schema migration and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including code reviews, testing (unit, integration), and version control (Git).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
